The real work in Continuation Classes cannot start until the

first enrolment of the Junior Technical School passes out to industry:

when it is hoped that some scheme similar to that outlined in para- graph 109 of the Government Report will be in force.

The provision of a "part time day" course for apprentices is in keeping with the policy of the Board of Education, (England) and offers opportunity for instruction to a very much higher standard than is possible in evening classes even at home. If firms are will- ing, as they are, to give their apprentices time off for toɑhnical training ever endeavour should be made to provide a suitable course. (6) RELATIONSHIP TO TECHNICAL INSTITUTE:.

It is suggested that for the present the classes of the Tech-

nical Institute remain as such, and that they be regarded as training ground from which its selected pupils can pass to the "First Year Evening" classes of the Technical School. An endeavour will be made in 1933-34 to bring these classes into line with the day classes of the Junior Technical School in order that this scheme may be facilitated. Evening Courses for:-

Mechanical Engineers.

Electrical Engineers.

Builders.

It is also hoped that it will be possible to enrol pupils for definte courses rather than for single subjects as at present. The provision
